The good form of Lotto's Andre Greipel continued when he won the first stage of the Tour Of Luxembourg this afternoon.

Team Sky with Brits Ben Swift and Alex Dowsett had closed down the threat of Jens Voigt who had escaped and was 2.45 as the race reached the closing stages on the 181km stage from Luxembourg to Hesperange.

With the German caught, it was another German in Greipel who raced to victory ahead of Team Sky's Davide Appollonio and Cofidis' Samuel Dumoulin.

Jimmy Engoulvent keeps his race leaders jersey.
