Bulgarian Ivalio Gabrovski of the KTS team won the third stage of the 48th Presidental Tour Of Turkey this afternoon.

A 152km stage from Antalya to Elmali, known for its apple producing, saw a five man breakway which was still clear with 20kms to go.

They were twenty seconds ahead of turquoise jersey wearing race leader Matt Goss but three kilometres later, their day at the front was over.

Gabrovski tried to get away with 9kms to go and built up a 19 second lead. With five kms left had doubled that lead in what was a fantastic ride.

Wending his way up the mountain, the 34 year old Bulgarian was at 1.13 ahead of Bardet and a three man group.

He was in no mood to let anyone get near him and won in a time of 4:21.10, some 1.33 ahead of the second placed rider Dyachenko and Petrov.

"This was the stage I choose", said Gabrovski, who took the leaders Turqoise jersey to Eurosport's Matt Rendall. "It was all or nothing. I started strong. The last kilometres were brutal and the hardest of my career but I was delighted to win."

Tomorrow's fourth stage is from Fethiye to Marmaris.
