Dowsett Wins Circuit Cycliste Sarthe Time Trial

British rider Alex Dowsett won the Circuit Cycliste Sarthe - Pays de la Loire time trial.

Stage 2B was an eight kilometre time trial in Angers and saw Minaard the first down the ramp.

He finished in 8.48 and that was the fastest time until Daniel Oss finished in 8.29, BMC's British rider Steve Cummings finished in 8.23 and Vandewalle came home in 8.17.

British Time Trial Champion Alex Dowsett of Movistar was next to finish and he set the new fastest time when he finished in 8.05 with Garmin Sharp's going into provisional second with a time of 8.10.

Dowsett's time was not to be beaten and he took the win and the overall lead in the race.
