FDJ's Arnaud Demare has kept his lead on the penultimate stage of  the Four Days of Dunkirk.

The penultimate stage of this UCI European Tour race was a 188km stage from Ardres to Licques.

Houle, Pichot, Veuchelen, Petit, Kump, Benedetti, Rossetto, Kowalski & Amorison had a lead which at one time was ten and a half minutes.

However, going into the final twenty kilometres, Rossetto was out front on his own and the lead over the peloton which included race leader Arnaud Demare and second placed Sylvain Chavanel was 2.17.

Rossetto was caught and Giant Shimano's Thierry Hupond went away to take a solo victory in 5.12.24 ahead of Niklas Arndt and Pichot.

Hupond said to Eurosport: "it was strange day with riders losing their team mates and I took the opportunity to win and had a super good day to get my first win after seven years.

Arnaud Demare finished in eighth to extend his lead in the race overall to six seconds.
