De Haes Wins Tour De Wallonie Fourth Stage

Lotto Belisol's Kenny De Haes won the Tour De Wallonie Fourth Stage today.

A 197.1km stage from Andenne to Clabecq saw Alexandre Pichot of Europcar, Christophe Premont, Jerome Gilbert of Accent Jobs and Ludvig De Winter get away and stay clear.

They had a lead over eight minutes but it was down to just over four with 50kms to go.

The gap plummeted to a minute when Premont attacked with 29 kilometres to go. Pichot tried to bridge but Gilbert and De Winter were swallowed up.

Premont took the second sprint of the day, ahead of Pichot and Peter Sierry with 20.3kms left.

Six kilometres up the road and Premont sat up on another glorious day and the attacks started to happen.

With 8.1kms left, Cofidis' Cammaerts attacked on the third category la Côté d'Ittre climb. Race Leader Alexandr Kolobnev joined Trago Machedo and Maertens in a trio of chasers vefore they took were caught.

Omega Pharma Quick Step looking to get Tom Boonen a second victory took to the front as did Radio Shack and BMC.

It was a chaotic sprint but Lotto Belisol's Kenny De Haes took the victory in 4.57.16 ahead of Nizzolo and Napolitano.

Alexandr Kolobnev keeps his leaders jersey going into the final stage.
