Costa Express Fastest Lap comes to The Pearl Izumi Tour Series
Britain’s top riders to battle for the fastest lap at this year’s Series
Riders will be going faster than ever at this year’s Pearl Izumi Tour Series as they battle it out to win the Costa Express Fastest Lap, the newest competition with the unique, team based Series.
Costa Express will be presenting a unique trophy to the rider with the fastest lap recorded during each round of The Pearl Izumi Tour Series, ensuring the action will be even faster than usual.

Now we have over 2,700 Costa Express self-serve coffee bars across the UK, more and more consumers and of course cyclists are enjoying a coffee on the go. Cyclists love their coffee so it’s a natural fit for Costa Express as we continue to grow around the UK. We are very excited about the relationship, particularly at a time when both cycling and Costa Express are continually innovating.”
As a part of the partnership Costa Express will also support The Tour of Britain and The Tour Ride sportives. Costa Express, the UK’s leading self-serve coffee bar, will also be available to VIP guests and riders at the Series and The Tour of Britain. With over 2,700 self-serve coffee bars across the UK, Costa Express is bringing real Costa coffee to the on the go consumer.
Further details of how entrants in The Tour Ride sportives can look forward to be supported by Costa Express will be announced soon.

Costa Express will also be continuing as a sponsor for the Rapha Condor JLT squad, winners of the Series in 2011, who name Olympic Champion Ed Clancy and The Tour of Britain’s SKODA King of the Mountains winner Kristian House among their squad.
The second year of the sponsorship continues a relationship with Condor that dates back to the 1960s with the successful Condor Mackeson team.
The Pearl Izumi Tour Series gets underway in Kirkcaldy, Fife on Tuesday 14th May, finishing in Ipswich eleven rounds later on Friday 14th June. Highlights will be shown on ITV4 in a 10pm slot the evening after every round during this year’s Series.
Past winners of the unique competition include Team Halfords Bikehut (2009), Motorpoint Marshalls Pasta (2010), Rapha Condor Sharp (2011) and Endura Racing (2012).
