Contador In For Argentina's Biggest Race

A number of big names are in Argentina for the Tour De San Luis which started today.

Alberto Contador, who has had his court case put back again, leads the way in a strong field for the 1051km long race which opens with a 183km stage from San Luis to Villa Mercedes.

There is a 16k individual time trial on Thursday before the race ends with the final stage in San Luis on Sunday.

Also in the race which features five ProTour, seven Pro Continental, six Continental teams are JJ Haedo, Vincenzo Nibali of Liquigas-Cannondale, Omega Pharma Quick Step's Tom Boonen, Sylvain Chavanel, Levi Leipheimer and Bert Grabsch, Jimmy Casper of AG2R, Giovanni Visconti and David Duran of Movistar, Michael Rasmussen and Stefan Schumacher of Christina Watches.

The only Brit in the 248 strong field which sees a number of countries competing is Tomas Swift Metcalfe of the Carmin-Prio team.
