Mark Cavendish made it three wins out of three when he won the fifth stage of the Tour Of Qatar.

On a 154km stage from Al Zubara Fort to Madinat Al Shamal, Martin Elminger took the first first sprint of the day with race leader Mark Cavendish taking the second.

With twenty kilometres to go, Team Sky's Bernie Eisel was one of three riders with Niki Terpstra and Taylor Phinney out in front with a 25 second lead.

That was down to ten seconds with ten kilometres to go and saw Cavendish, in his leaders gold jersey, rather than the sky blue of Omega Pharma Quick Step, handily placed at the front of the peloton.

BMC who were trying to get Brent Bookwalter into the leader's jersey took to the front with eight left and stayed there until the four to go mark when Team Sky took over.

A kilometre later, Cavendish's team were back on the front. The Manx Man was in sixth and sprinted to victory in a time of 3.11.11 to increase his standing as race leader by another ten seconds.

Hutartovich was second, Kroupis third with Adam Blythe fourth and Luke Rowe fifth.

Cavendish now leads Bookwalter by fifteen seconds going into the final stage.
