Bora Argon 18 Win The Giro Del Trentino Team Time Trial

Bora Argon 18 have won the Giro Del Trentino Team TIme Trial in Italy.

This four stage race started with a team time trial starting in Riva Del Garda and finishing in Arco.

Bardiani CSF were first down the ramp and onto a 13.3km course and they set a time of 14.41 at an average speed of 54.306kmh.

Astana soon beat that with a time of 14.09 with AG2R going second in 14.12 and Caja Rural which featured the only British rider in the race in Hugh Carty, finishing in 14.24.

German based team Bora Argon 18 who had Cesare Benedetti riding on home roads, used his local knowlege to their advantage and took over the lead when they came home in a time of 14.05 at an average speed of 56,643 km/h.

Team Sky led by Richie Porte went down the ramp and were four tenths of a second behind the time set by Bora at the intermediate time check.

Russian side Rusvelo also clocked a time of 14.05 as did Team Sky but it was Bora who still led by three tenths of a second.

MTN Qhubeka were last to go but could only finish in 14.29 and it was Bora Argon 18 who took the win with Cesare Benedetti going into the leader's jersey for stage two.
