Boaro Wins Circuit Sarthe Stage Three

Manuel Boaro of Tinkoff Saxo has won Stage Three of the Circuit Cycliste Sarthe - Pays de la Loire in France.

Angers was the setting for the departure of a fourth stage to Pre-En-Pail, after two A and B stages yesterday and the opening day on Tuesday, which was over 190.3kms and the longest stage of the race, which had Adriano Malori of Lampre in the lead.

Vladimir Isaychev, Louis Meinjtes, Thomas Boudet, Benoit Jarrier and Marinus Minnaard got themselves into the day's main break and were four minutes ahead with less than 90km left.

Meinjtes, Boudet, Jarrier and Minnaard dropped Isaychev as they took a 2.28 lead over chasers Howes Cannondale), Jauregui (AG2R), Rolland (Europcar) and Kudus of MTN Qhubeka and then the peloton with thirty kilometres left.

The chasers in Howes, Rolland, Fedrigo, Bakelants, Machado an Duque joined Meintjes and Kudus to form a new break for the final ten kilometres with a lead of 35 seconds.

This break lasted until the flam rouge when they were caught and Manuel Boaro of Tinkoff Saxo took the win ahead of Rolland and Hivert, Fedrigo,  Vichot, Machado, Navardauskas, Valgren, British rider Steve Cummings and Nathan Haas.
