Alvis Sporting Club will be playing their MFL League matches at Green Lane, Finham, Coventry next season.
The club have issued the following statement:
"After 2 seasons on the road Alvis Sporting are finally coming home and we will play once again at our home ground of Green Lane.
When we first went to Copsewood at the start of season 2013/14 we thought it would be until October at the latest but legal difficulties blocked our aims and ambitions and what we thought would be a few months became a couple of years.
On the way we lost a lot of very good people but hopefully not for ever. The number of ex Alvis managers and players certainly rose this period.
I personally would like to thank everyone who turned out for us, especially this season, and I would also like to thank the clubs who have helped us along the way. Finally I would like to thank our committee who have stuck by us to a man (and a lady).
Now is the time to look forward and believe it or not there is a huge amount going on which will be disclosed over the next week, so watch this space and remember there really is light at the end of the tunnel !"
