Coventry City U21's were beaten 3-0 away to Barnsley this afternoon.

Lee Glover had Devon Kelly-Evans back after missing the last three months and was able to field Swedish defender Martin Lorentson along with new signings Stephen Hunt and Andy Rose for a game at Barnsley's Academy complex, next door to their Oakwell Stadium.

Barnsley were ahead after eight minutes when former Coventry Sphinx youngster Harry White turned in a George Maris free kick.

Thirty minutes later, Barnsley had a second goal when George Williams scored with a shot/cross that went in off the post.

City battled away but with ten minutes left, a superb solo effort from George Maris saw him tear through City's defence to send the Sky Blues to a 3-0 defeat.
