Coventry City U18's suffered a last gasp heartbreak which denied them a victory against Millwall.

Millwall took the lead in the 14th minute,a mistake led to Kilrnan Magon being gifted a chance which he took, cutting in to the area to drive smartly past Collett.

Much of the game at the Alan Higgs Centre, was played in the middle third , however, a telling Ashley Cain cross was punched over by Joe Wooley for a 27th minute corner. Nine minutes later, City trialist Harry Robbins cleared off the line from a corner.

Robbins, who is on trial from Chelsea, was involved in a good move five minutes before the break, toe-poking the ball forward inside the area to Sean Fraser before the ball was grabbed off the strikers toe.

On the stroke of half-time, the City support were cheering when the Sky Blues were awarded a penalty on the stroke of half time. Shaun Jeffers took the kick but Wooley dived to his right to push it round.

Against an organised side,City were a lot better in the second half and drew level in the 65th minute.

Dean Marshall and Callum Wilson had been on the pitch as substitutes for only 84 seconds when Marshall's cross from left was met by a flick header from Callum Wilson which went into the bottom corner of the net.

Positively inspired by the goal,Greg Rioch's side went for the winner. Billy Jeffries had to dive in to head away a Marshall cross, then in the 75th minute, defender Jermaine Grandison had a header cleared off the line by Charlie Reid.

In the 83rd minute, City got the goal they sought. Dean Marshall was again the provider, centering for Sean Fraser to flick a header into the far corner.

The win would have lifted City above Birmingham in the Academy League table, but in the last seconds of stoppage time. it was denied.

Aaron Griffiths pulled up with a hamstring injury which let in Kyle Taylor on the right to drive a low shot from fourteen yards under Collett and into the net, deny the Sky Blues a win in their penultimate home game.
