Industrial Action May Affect Train Journey For City's Game At Wimbledon

Coventry City supporters travelling by train to Saturday's League One game against AFC Wimbledon in Kingston Upon Thames are advised that there is industrial action by South Western railway staff.

The Metropolitan Police have issued the following:

"Any or  supporters planning on using the train to the match on Saturday please make regular checks on your service as have industrial action that day that may impact on your journey." 

If there is industrial action

Northern Line tube to Tooting Broadway or Northern Line to Embankment then District Line to Wimbledon station and take the 131 bus, which stops right outside the ground,

The full 131 bus route runs through: Kingston - New Malden - Raynes Park - Wimbledon - Colliers Wood - Tooting Broadway.

If there is no industrial action

The nearest rail station to The Cherry Red Records Stadium, is Norbiton, which is less than a mile away.

Trains run from Waterloo every 15 minutes via Clapham Junction and Wimbledon (terminating at Shepperton or Strawberry Hill). Leave the station via the back exit, and take the first left onto Norbiton Avenue. Follow the road round to the left and then turn right onto Gloucester Road. Take a left on to Cambridge Road and walk 400 yards until you reach the stadium on your right.
