Mark Venus has said that he is disappointed that U21's coach Lee Glover has left the Sky Blues.

Venus told the Coventry Telegraph:

“I was really pleased with Lee as a choice because he is a proper people person and an honest, hard-working guy,” said Venus, who wants to see the 21s push the senior players for pitch time next season.

“I am really disappointed that he has left the football club because I would have liked him to carry on with what we feel is a better group to work with next year.

“We have got some talented young boys to work around but I am really pleased that he has got the chance to make a name for himself as an assistant at a club who will be competitive in our league, so good for him.

“None of us knew him previously, it was an independent choice and a good choice and let’s hope we can get the next one as good and honest as has been for us.

“When we employed Lee we interviewed half a dozen candidates and the gaffer, Jamie Clapham and Rich Stevens selected him and I think it’s important that they select the Under-21 coach because he has to work with the manager and Jamie as well as being part of the Academy.”
