Farndon - An Interesting Season

Coventry City U18's coach Jason Farndon has described the U18's season as an interesting one.

City U18's finished fourth in their league, playing some good football, had a cup run and got players in to the first team squad and speaking about this to Tom Bloomfield, Farndon said: "Overall this season has gone reasonably well.

"We started off great but petered out towards the end and sort of ran our race at Christmas, the boys played too many games and it caught up on them.

"We had a good cup run and the production of players into the first team with the likes of Maddison and Thomas is very pleasing.

"If I had to sum it up in one word I would say.. interesting. We had high hopes for the season and I do believe that if the strongest squad would have been available all the time then we would have won the league.

"But I have to be realistic, that my job is to produce players for the first team. With 6 or 7 of them making debuts this season, it has been a great personal achievement."
