Coventry City U18's coach Jason Farndon has said that his side are excited about the FA Youth Cup.

City have been drawn at home to Peterborough North Star or Grantham Town in the First Round, some time in November and speaking to Keiran Crowley, Farndon said about the competition: "We're all excited about the FA Youth Cup this year. We went to Halesowen last week in the Birmingham Senior Cup and we found out how difficult it can be to play against non-league teams.

"We'll approach it in the right way and we'll be really up for it. There isn't a target really but we want to make sure we progress as much as our ability deserves.

"In the league, we want to win as many games as we can and we take that attitude into the Youth Cup. We want to progress further than we did last season."
