City U21's Win At QPR

Coventry City U21's recorded their first win of the season with a 2-0 victory at Queens Park Rangers.

City did not arrive until 6.45pm for a 7pm kick off due to traffic problems and the game against a QPR side which had not lost all season, was put back to 7.18pm.

Darren Murray, named a side which saw Jordan Clarke, Adam Barton, Billy Daniels and Shaun Miller who have all started for the first team in League or cup matches this season.

There was a good turn out of London based City supporters plus Steven Pressley, Harry Redknapp and Paul Furlong, the QPR U18's  Boss at Loftus Road to see City in yellow shirts and navy shorts, take the lead in the 35th minute through Ivor Lawton, who finished off a cross from Thomas.

In the 58th minute, James Maddison made it two with a curler to give City the win.

QPR: Lumley, Furlong, Kakay, Ehmer, Kpekawa (Laurent 68), Comley, Sutherland, Mitchell, Gibbons (Shodipo 82), Andrade, Grego-Cox. Subs: Wise, Hudnott, Komodikis.
