Coventry City U21's went down to a 1-0 defeat against Birmingham City.‎
Six days after losing 2-1 at Wast Hills, Darren Murray's side faced Birmingham City yet again. Problems with Nuneaton Town's pitch meant that a change of venue was required to get the game on and at short notice, the game was switched to Ryton Training Ground.

Supporters were admitted and there was a few supporters, scouts, agents plus former players Claus Jorgensen, Ian Goodwin and Steve Ogrizovic, Neil MacFarlane and Steven Pressley present to see a City side which included ‎Ryan Haynes, Conor Thomas, Adam Barton, Danny Swanson and Shaun Miller who had City's first chance in the ninth minute.

Ryan Haynes made a great tackle to concede a 12th minute corner. That was cleared and The Blues attacked again through Solomon-Otabor.

Haynes and Miller, who looked lively in the first half, put together a good move down the left in the 21st minute. But four minutes later, Birmingham took the lead with a header from the edge of the area from Liam Truslove which went into the bottom corner.

Miller went close with a twenty yarder as City passed the ball round well on a pitch ‎
Reece Brown, not the one who played for City on loan, fired at Burge and Swanson had a tame effort before Miller had a shot deflected for a 38th minute corner.

Devon Kelly-Evans was unlucky with an effort and worked well for City along with Stevenson, Lawton, Haynes and Kelly-Evans as the half ended .
Jordan Shipley was sent on for the second half which saw Birmingham with an early goal disallowed and a Truslove shot.

‎Lawton was marshaling City's defence well but was unlucky to concede a 62nd minute free kick on the edge of the area. Brown took the free kick but Burge was down to his right to save‎.

The confident Burge saved from McGee‎ with Brown firing wide from inside the area in the 67th minute.against a Coventry side who keeping the ball in their own half.

In the 72nd minute, a shove by Nat Kelly gave City a free kick that Haynes curled over.

City offered little up front in the second half and although they won a very late corner, they went down to another defeat which leaves them rock bottom of the table.‎
