Coventry City U18's finished off their 2014 programme of fixtures with a 3-2 win over Leeds United.‎
 
In their final game of the 2014, the Sky Blues took on Leeds United looking for a win to keep the pressure on the leaders Huddersfield and Birmingham City.
With James Maddison,  Steve Ogrizovic, Darren Murray and Ray Gooding watching on, on a cold morning at the Higgs Centre, Dion Kelly-Evans had an early shot saved following a neat run.
 
A corner for City followed and in the eleventh minute, Kyle Spence dragged a shot wide‎ followed by Crouz firing wide at the other end.
 
A neat one-two with George Thomas in the 19th minute saw Devon Kelly-Evans fire over. The midfielder was soon involved again in an attack which the Leeds defence had to hoof away.
 
In the 22nd minute, Robbie McDaid got the ball on the edge of the area and was allowed two flicks and a header before firing past Addai into the bottom corner.
 
Bas Sambou drove wide at the other end and then headed over a 27th minute free kick.
 
On the half hour mark, City won a corner and there was Cian Harries to head home at the far post and draw City level.
Three minutes later and a great ball forward from Harries was pounced on by George Thomas. The Leeds keeper came out so Thomas smartly lifted the ball over him and into the net.
 
Addai made a smart save and following a corner, made another good stop with his legs but in the 40th minute, McDaid had Leeds level with a neat finish.
 
In the 50th minute, Leeds had a corner ‎ but ten minutes later, Maycock and Odour were booked after reacting to a foul.
Harries, who was solid at the back with Kyle Barnett. fired high over the bar following a 65th minute free kick .
 
Jason Farndon sent on Jordan Shipley and Luke Bromley to try and get City a win and in the 80th minute, the Sky Blues got the goal they wanted when a Devon Kelly Evans shot was parried away, the ball was cross back into the edge of the area for Devon Kelly Evans to hit a shot which deflected off George Thomas for his second goal of the match and low into the net.
 
A highly entertaining game was soured by the sight of a Leeds players stretchered off with a knee injury. ‎
‎That delayed the game which saw City on to attack and ensuring they finished their matches in 2014 with a win.
