Coventry City have said that the South Stand will be open for the Gillingham game.

The latest club statement reads: ‘‘The club can confirm that further tickets will now be made available in the South Stand later in the week but will not go on immediate sale.

That will help staff clear the backlog of tickets and Season Tickets already purchased. As soon as the club can go on sale with those additional tickets, supporters will be kept fully informed of when and where they can be purchased.

Season Ticket sales have now tipped over the 3,000 mark which increases the number of tickets sold for the game and hospitality packages are now also on sale.

There are still a large number of Season Ticket holders from the 2012/13 season who haven’t yet taken the option of buying a ticket in the seat they held previously for the Gillingham game. They can buy tickets in those seats up to 5.30pm on Thursday or they can let the club know via info@ccfc.co.uk using the subject SEAT RELEASE that they are happy for those seats to be sold to other supporters – again to help get as many fans into the ground as possible.

‘‘If they are not sold by 5.30 on Thursday, those unclaimed seats will be then made available to supporters on general sale. Details of when and where they are on sale will, again, be communicated by the club.

Once again, the club would like to thank all supporters for their patience during this period. Staff are working extremely hard to process ticket sales and Season Ticket sales as well as answering a range of other questions and queries.

We will keep supporters informed with further ticket updates via the website and social media in order to help ease the load on staff in the CCFC superstore at the Gallagher Retail Park.
