Warwicks in trouble again

Warwickshire County Cricket team's slump in form continued on the third day of their opening County Championship game with Worcestershire at Edgbaston.

The visitors were 150-3 over night and continued to attack the Warwicks bowling. In two sessions, Worcester steered themselves into a match winning situation as they took the total to 413-5 at tea.

Vik Solanki went on to make 140 from 245 balls before he was caught by Jon Trott off the bowling of Lee Daggett. Ant Botha added the wickets of Ali and Smith to that of Moore's which he took last night. But Graham Hick chipped in with 95 Not Out and Davies 37 not out to leave Warwicks some 447 runs behind with one session and a day to play.

Hick went on to complete his 135th century before becoming Ant Both's fourth victim. Davies was also caught behind by Frost off the bowling of Daggett. Worcester declared soon after on 447-7,setting Warwicks 492 to win.

In replay, Warwicks collapsed to 20-3 at the close with Westwood,Maddy both out for nine and Jon Trott for a duck.
