Trailfinders Lose Their Way At Coventry

Coventry Rugby Club beat Ealing Trailfinders 29-26 this afternoon at the Butts Park Arena in a thrilling game.

A crowd of 1397 saw Wardingly run in a first minute try for the West Londoners which Ward converted.

Luke Myring kicked an 11th minute penalty but Brocket went up the other end and ran in a 13th minute try that was converted by Ward.

Parkin ran in a 20th minute try for Coventry and on the stroke of half-time, Coventry took a 15-14 lead with a Herrington try which Myring converted.

That increased by seven points, twenty one minutes into the second half when Parkin scored a try which Myring duly converted.

Ealing came back with a 71st minute Wardingley try followed by one for Bruynseels which Ward converted.

Anyone leaving early and thinking that Coventry had lost were in for a shock as in the fifth minute of stoppage time at the end of the game, Waller scored a try and Myring converted to give Coventry the win.
