Stingrays Stung By Blaze

Coventry Blaze Ice Hockey team made up for defeat last night in Nottingham with a 2-1 home win over Hull Stingrays.

There were no goals in the first period, but in the second,American Dan Carlson scored to put the Blaze ahead.

In the third period, they went on to win the game and stay top of the Elite League when Adam Calder netted.

Paul Thompson's team travel to Basingstoke Bisons on Wednesday and then to Belfast Giants on Friday for a Challenge Cup game.
