Sphinx Into Relegation Zone

Coventry Sphinx played well but went down to a 1-0 defeat at home to Studley this afternoon in a Midland Alliance fixture. Dennis Mullholland scored the only goal of the game which plunged Sphinx into the relegation zone.

Midland Alliance leaders Atherstone Town won 3-1 at Biddulph, whilst Racing Club Warwick went ahead of Sphinx in the table with a 3-0 home win against Oldbury United and Stratford drew 1-1 at Rocester.

Sphinx are at home to Stratford Town on Wednesday night.

Coventry Sphinx Reserves lost 2-0 at Rugby Town.
