Johnson To make City Debut

England Rugby World Cup winner and City supporter Martin Johnson is to make his debut for a Sky Blues team on Sunday in a charity game.

Johnson,whose father hails from Coventry, will be part of a Dave Phillips X1 who travel to Leamngton to play a Leamington X1.

The game is to raise money for Myton Hospice and the four chosen charities of the Mayor Of Royal Leamington Spa, Councillor David Greenwood.

Dave Phillips, who could be making a return to the Sky Blues Academy staff, also includes in his squad: England Rugby international and Cov kid Neil Back plus Brian Borrows, Dave Busst,Cyrille Regis, Steve Ogrizovic, Micky Gynn, Dave Bennett, Leicester reserve team boss Gerry Taggart and Warwickshire cricketers Neil Smith and Dougie Brown.

Leamington will field the likes of Brian Agar, Darren Timms, Ian Billington, Nick Mort, Steve Thompson, Adam Knight, Richard Adams and Steve Smith.

Kick-off is at 3pm at the New Windmill and admission is £5, with £2 for concessions.
