Coventry born MototGP rider Cal Crutchlow finished in a highly creditable fourth place as the new MotoGP season started in Qatar.

The Yahama rider, who hails from Wyken but now lives in the Isle Of Man, had done well in practice and qualifying to get on the front row.

However, try as he might, he could not get past race winner Jorge Lorenzo, second placed Dani Pedrosa and third placed Casey Stoner, but rode well to finish some 17.114 seconds back in fourth place.
