First Innings First Warwicks Slump

Warwickshire County Cricket Club fell 34 runs short of the total achieved by Worcestershire in their first innings of the opening County Championship game at Edgbaston.

Warwicks resumed on 39-3 chasing Worcester's first innings total of 249. Jon Trott made 80 before being run out with Poonia chipping in with fifty.

Once Trott was dismissed, the collapse that Warwickshire supporters know way too well, occured once more and and they lost four wickets to be all out for 215 in only 65 overs.

At tea, Warwicks had got a wicket with Darryl Marshall being caught by Trott off the bowling of Lee Daggert. Worcester were 22-1. The final session of the day saw the total rise to 150-2. Moore was out for 66 with Vic Solanki 75 not out at the close.BR>
