The Bears in their tenth season, who had beat Derby to become Northern Champions were beaten by the better side in what was the Bear's third consecutive Rugby League Conference Premier Grand Final.
Coventry Bears women's team also made it to the Conference Final but lost to Bradford Thunderbirds 44-8.
