Draw For Nuneaton But Leamington Lose

Nuneaton Town snatched a 1-1 draw in a Conference North fixture at Workington this afternoon.

Simpson gave the home side the lead in the 50th minute but Guy Hadland grabbed an equaliser four minutes from time to give Kevin Wilkin's side a share of the spoils.


Leamington were beaten 2-1 at St Albans City. Blake had scored twice in the 8th and 78th minute for the home side before David Kolodynski scored a consolation for the Brakes in the 86th minute.


In the Southern League Central Division, the big game between Bedworth United and St Neots was postponed.

Rugby Town won 3-0 at Aylesbury with goals from Fagan (48), Booth (54) and Gaskin (88)


In the Midland Alliance, as well as Coventry Sphinx winning 2-1 at Tividale, goals from Hayden and Reynolds gave Stratford Town a 2-0 win over Rocester and a Conor Baker goal was enough for Atherstone to beat Willenhall Town.


In the Les James Challenge Cup, Racing Club Warwick won 3-1 at Bloxwich United.

Midland Combination Premier Division action saw Southam United win 3-2 at Earlswood Town and Nuneaton Griff beat Pershore 4-1.

Alvis beat Blackwood 3-1 in a Division One fixture whilst in Division Two, Coventry Spartans beat Perrywood 2-1, FC Stratford lost 6-0 at Chelmsley Town, Leamington Hibernian lost 3-0 at home to Inkberrow and Young Warriors drew 0-0 with Aston.
