Coventry's World Superbikes rider Cal Crutchlow was on the podium again in the latest round of the World Superbikes Championship at the Nurburgring in Germany.

In a re-run first race following a crash to Leon Haslam, Jonathan Rea took an early lead and kept it to record his fourth win of the season, with Carlos Checa in second and Wyken's Cal Crutchlow, who was ten seconds behind Rea in the 38 minute race, coming home in third to get the final podium place.

However, in the second race, Crutchlow could not repeat his feat and finished fourth trailing behind winner Noriyuka Haga, Jonathan Rea and Leon Haslam.

The penultimate round of the series is in Imola on September 26th.
