Coventry Blaze Well Beaten At Nottingham

Coventry Blaze were well beaten 6-1 at Nottingham Panthers tonight.

The Blaze fans who travelled to the NIA in Nottingham, saw the Panthers take the lead through Jordan Fox on 1.17.

After the goal, a fight between Bryan Jurynec and Guillaume Lepine erupted with the Nottingham player getting seventeen minutes worth of penalties.

However, they were on the powerplay due to Park and Weaver serving penalties when Matt Francis hit a second on 7.06.

Three minutes and eleven seconds into the second period, Francis scored again.

Another fight started between Jurynec and Lepine and this time, Jurynec used his knee and received a game ban.

To make matter's worse, Nottingham then hit two goals in a minute with David Clarke scoring a powerplay goal on 32.30 and one for Myers on 32.49.

Coventry did pull one back on 56.19, through James Griffen, assisted by Shea Guthrie and Woo-Sang Park, only for Nottingham to hit a sixth a minute later, when David Beauregard hit a short-handed goal.

The sides meet again at the Sky Dome on Sunday night.
