Coventry Blaze were beaten by Sheffield Steelers in the Play Off Quarter-Finals First leg

At a packed Sky Dome tonight, the Steelers took the lead when Drew Fata scored on 7.28 with a powerplay goal after Adam Henrich had been sent to the bench for hooking six seconds earlier.

Four minutes and 36 seconds had been played in the second period when Sheffield scored again through Jason Hewitt.

Coventry hit back on 25.35 through Adam Henrich, assisted by James Griffith and Greg Leeb.

But on 45.28, Tylor Michel scored a third for the visitors.

Again, Coventry came back with a goal on 53.48 scored by Shea Guthrie, assisted by Benn Olson and Mike Schutte but it was not enough to stop a 3-2 defeat.
