Coventry City Ladies are now seven games unbeaten after a 2-1 victory in this Midland Women's Combination local derby against Coventry Copsewood.

Coventry had the better of the chances early on with the Copsewood keeper making two good saves with her feet.

In the 26th minute, the Sky Blues took the lead thanks to Jade Formaston lashing the ball high into the net from a left flank cross. .

Nine minutes later, Robyn James netted the second when she raced through to beat the advancing keeper.

Copsewood were back in the match, two minutes before the interval thanks to Nicola Foskett breaking through to score. Having come through the ranks at Coventry, Foskett did not celebrate her goal and walked back to the centre circle.

Robyn James hit the bar in the 53rd minute in a tight half where both sides had players injured to keep City's unbeaten run going..
