Bristol City's Ashton Gate has been named as the venue for the 2011/2012 Women's FA Cup Final.

Coventry City's Ricoh Arena staged the final last May between Arsenal and Bristol City which the Londoners won 2-0.

Bristol City are hoping to match the sort of gates for previous finals held at the homes of Derby County FC and Nottingham Forest, rather than the 13,000 who were at the Ricoh Arena and speaking to BBC Points West, Bristol City's CEO Guy Price said; It's a very exciting opportunity for us. "We'll have all four stands open which will create a great atmosphere. It will hopefully bring lots of people who don't usuallly come to Ashton Gate.

"Previously at Derby and Nottingham they've filled the stadiums and that's our aim. We're very excited and looking forward to it."

The final will take place on May 26th and sees Coventry City Ladies enter at the Fourth Round stage when they travel to Aston Villa on Sunday February 5th.
