Blaze Through To Finals Weekend

Coventry Blaze are through to next weekends Play-Off Semi-Finals and Final at Nottingham and the third part of a treble after winning the Elite League and Knockout Cup.

Having won 1-0 at the Edinburgh Capitals last night, Paul Thompson's team scored twice in the first period through Barrie Moore and Jon Weaver as did the visitors, backed by 100 fans, but added a third in the second period through Danny Stewart.

Man Of The Match and one of the Blaze's best ever players, Neal Martin in his last game for Blaze at the Skydome, desperately tried for a goal but it did not come and the Blaze finished 3-2 winners.

Also in the Semi-Final are Sheffield Steelers who drew 4-4 with Manchester Phoenix to win 9-8 on aggregate. Newcastle Vipers made the Semi-Finals with an over time result against Belfast and Cardiff make up the quartet after a late 3-3 draw with Nottingham and a 7-6 aggregate victory.

• Weekend - Adult £75, Concessions/Students £53, and family £205 (being 2 adults and 2 concessions)
