Coventry Blaze got the title winning jitters going down to a 3-1 home defeat tonight against Edinburgh Capitals.

Before the game, a totally silent Sky Dome observed a minutes silence for trainer John Crook before bursting into rounds of applause.

All of the Blaze players, staff and management will be attending John's funeral which will take place on Monday 10th March at 11.30am at Robin Hood Crematorium in Shirley, Solihull.

Neal Martin scored for Paul Thompson's side in the first half but despite the efforts of Danny Stewart, Blaze conceded goals in the first and second periods to lose the game.

A one off auction of Sylvain Cloutier's shirt raised £600.
