Coventry Blaze went down to a second consecutive defeat at Belfast Giants tonight.

At the Oddessy, the Blaze fans who had made a weekend of it saw Belfast get three early goals. The first came a second before Park was due back on the ice and saw Lloyd score, assisted by Dowd and Mason.

Then after the Blaze had failed to convert a goalmouth scramble, Belfast went up the other end and scored through Rebek, assisted by Garside and a third through Lloyd.

Coach Paul Thomson called a time out and Mike McLean scored to reduce the arrears, all before the 12th minute.

A short-handed goal from Shea Guthrie had the Blaze now only a goal behind before Bryan Jurynec got the better of Keefe in a fight.

Into the last minute of the opening period and Coventry were level thanks to Owen Fussey scoring with a power play goal, assisted by Weaver and Owen.

However in the third period, Arron Clarke, netted for Belfast to condemn the Blaze, who are at home to Hull on Sunday (face off at 6.30pm) to a 4-3 defeat.
