Coventry Blaze Ice Hockey Club came back to draw 3-3 with Nottingham Panthers in a Challenge Cup tie.

With some Blaze season ticket holders unable to afford this Challenge Cup game on top of their season tickets, there was only a low crowd in the Sky Dome to see Coventry take the lead on 18.30, through Brad Zanon, assisted by Owen & Fulghum.

Nottingham equalised with a short-handed goal on 27.16 through Myers firing past Tom Murdy who was again deputising for Brett Jaeger who was ill in hospital.

Less than a minute later and a big mess up in front of the Blaze net and Myers put Nottingham ahead when he scored a short-handed goal.

Parity was restored on 34.47 when Luke Fulghum equalised for The Blaze, assisted by Carlson and Fussey.

The third period saw, Nottingham take the lead on 43.28, when Beauregard found the net, assisted by Zion and Ryan but with one minute and twenty five seconds of the match remaining, The Blaze snatched a draw when Sean Selmser scored, assisted by Dan Carlson and Jon Weaver.
