Blaze Beaten In Final 1st Leg

Coventry Blaze suffered a 4-2 defeat in the Knockout Cup Final 1st Leg at Basingstoke Bisons.

After an 18 minute delay, due to a lighting problem, The Bison scored very early through Owen. Paul Thompson lost Neal Martin to an injury but equalised through Adam Calder.

Dan Carlson gave Blaze the lead but just before the end of the first period,a stunning goal from Danny Stewart tied the game.

Stewart fired home a second in the middle period and the home side netted a third in the final period to take a lead into next week's second leg.
