Big Boro Festival At Nuneaton

Scouting For Girls have been announced as headliners of the first ever Big Boro Festival, to be held at Nuneaton Town Football Stadium on Saturday May 31st.

And the popular chart topping Indie group will be joined by local talent The Twang and the recently reformed original line up of The Rifles, ahead of their scheduled appearance at V Festival in August.

The event will run from midday until late and promises to combine a day of family fun, live music and activities, the event is already expecting up to 5,000 revellers after tickets went on sale.

It brings together a number of chart topping artists with local acts from the Midlands and will be closed with a two-hour DJ set from international DJ Lisa Lashes.

Furthermore, the party will continue late into the morning for the more mature crowd with an After Party Takeover inside.

Scouting For Girls have become regulars on the festival scene after notching up over two million record sales and being awarded four BRIT awards and an Ivor Novello.
The band released their Greatest Hits album last year, which peaked at number eight in the UK album chart.
The group will be joined at The Big Boro Festival by Birmingham rockers The Twang who have long been one of the most successful acts to come out of the Midlands in recent years.
The Rifles have also been added to the bill and will warm up Nuneaton before heading off to play V Festival on August 15th.

Early indications are that the festival will be a popular event so organisers are urging music fans to book their tickets fast.
A spokesperson from The Big Boro Festival said: “We are delighted to have such respected and established acts confirmed for the festival and it looks like it is going to be a really exciting event. By mixing established artists with fresh local talent we are showcasing some of the amazing potential that exists in the Midlands and by holding it in Nuneaton, we are also demonstrating the region’s capacity to hold large scale, popular music events. We are hoping that the festival will prove so popular, we can put something similar on again next year.”
