Bees Snatch Last Heat Victory

Coventry Bees snatched a 46-44 victory against Birmingham Brummies with a last heat win.

The Bees who had Oliver Greenwood guesting for James Sarjeant who had been in hospital after crashing in the defeat at Kings Lynn last night and Lewis Blackbird riding at number four, allowed Daniel Nermark and Daniel King to take a 5-1 win in the opening heat but had Jason Garrity win in a 4-2 in a re-run second heat.

A 5-1 and a 4-2 to Birmingham had the visitors to Brandon four points up and it was six in a heat six which saw Ryan Fisher and Josh Grajczonek after the pair ended up in the airfence.

Three 3-3's and a 4-2 to Birmingham, plus two more 3-3, saw the Bees trialing by eight points going into heat thirteen. However, The Bees tonight showed some fight and Chris Harris won for a 4-2 and Garrity and Blackbird gated for a 5-1 to see the Bees only two points behind going into the final heat.

Chris Harris and Hans Andersen went for the Bees and they rode for a 5-1 to give the Bees a 46-44 victory.
