Bees Semi-Final

Having won the Craven Shield in last seasons clean sweep of speedways major honours, the Bees have qualified from the group stages this season and tonight are due (weather pemitting) to travel south to Poole to face the Pirates in the 1st leg of the Semi-final.

At home the Pirates are traditionally strong and whom are due to welcome back one of their riders (Skornicki) who has recovered from a broken wrist.

For the Bees reserve Andreas Messing is absent from tonight, still nursing tyre burn injuries from a crash last week, so his place is taken by Bees Number 8 rider Ben Barker.

If the Bees can progress through this tough semi-final, they will meet the Lakeside Hammers who have gone straight to the final by virtue of having scored the highest points in the group stages.
