Bees Lose To Swindon

Coventry Bees were beaten 49=41 by Swindon Robins tonight at Brandon.

The Bees who had Arron Summers riding at number two, took a 3-3 in the first heat and had Garrity and James Sarjeant ride to a 5-1 in the second.

Swindon came back with a 4-2 in the third and then set the fastest time of 60.1 on the Brandon track this season with Steve Worrall winning in a 4-2 which levelled the scores at 12-12.

Hans Andersen won for a 4-2 but the Bees could not stop Kildemand and Batchelor from taking a 5-1 win.

Summers won in heat seven to level the scores again but in heat eight, the Robins were back in front with a 5-1.

That was followed by the Robins taking a 4-2 and a 5-1 so Chris Harris had a tactical ride in heat eleven. Harris could only finish third as the Robins took another 5-1 to increase their lead to fourteen points.

And although Garrity won in a re-run heat twelve, Harris won in a 5-1 in heat thirteen and Kenneth Hansen and Garrity for a 5-1 to takes the Bees within four points of Swindon, a 5-1 loss in the final heat saw the Bees beaten by eight points.
