Coventry Bees Speedway team were thrashed 62-31 at Wolverhampton.

Bees co-boss Peter Oakes said his club's website: "On that sort of performance from us, I think if I was (Swindon boss) Alun Rossiter I'd already be having the tickets printed for the Grand Final.

"If we ride like that against Swindon, they will probably set something of a record score, and our riders are aware of that.

"We aren't scoring enough points, riders aren't riding to their true ability, and they are experiencing too many problems.

"No rider comes away not wanting to score points, but we had a talk afterwards with all the riders and the mechanics about what lies ahead of us. We still have the play-offs and the Knockout Cup in our own hands - but we have to perform much, much better."

WOLVES 62: Adam Skornicki 14+1, Fredrik Lindgren 11+1, Peter Karlsson 11+1, Tai Woffinden 9+2, Nicolai Klindt 9+1, William Lawson 4+1, Joe Haines 4+1.

COVENTRY 31: Edward Kennett 11, Olly Allen 6+1, Rory Schlein 6+1, Chris Harris 5+1, Ricky Wells 2, Josh Auty 1+1, Ben Barker r/r.
