in tonights craven shield match at Brandon against the Belle Vue Aces, the Bees tracked a full strength team and ran out winners by 52 points to 35.

The Bees scorers were:

Rory Schlein 8+2
Olly Allen 10+1
Chris Harris 10+1
Billy Janniro 6+1
Simon Stead 7+1
Andreas Messing 5
Stanislaw Burza 6+2

As might have been expected before the meeting, the Aces main threat was former world champion Jason Crump who scored 12 points which included a double points scoring tactical ride victory in heat 11.
In a meeting that provided some good passing, the highlight was heat 9 where the aces rider Rajkowski gated out in front but the Bees Billy Janniro kept pace with him before executing a pass. On the same lap Harris went from last place to pass the aces pairing, firstly taking joe Screen then Rajkowski before passing Janniro to take the heat win.

Fastest time of the night was in Heat 5 where Chris Harris took victory over Jason Crump in a time of 59.9 seconds.

Next match for the Bees is this coming monday when the Sky Sports cameras arrive at Brandon for the Bees opening Elite League match against Eastbourne eagles, which sees the return of Scott Nicholls to the Brandon shale for the first time since the winter team changes. Start time is 7.30pm.
