Ricoh Arena Hosts British Ethnic Diversity Sports Awards

Birmingham born Mooen Ali, who made 128 for England in their ICC Cricket World Cup game against Scotland in Christchurch was named as the Sportsman Of The Year award at the first ever British Ethnic Diversity Sports Awards

The awards at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry, saw Ali who helped Worcester win promotion to the Division One of the County Championship named Sportsman Of The Year.

Sportswoman Of The Year went to gynmast Becky Downie  with Coach Of The Year going to Huddersfield Town manager Chris Powell.

Former athlete Denise Lewis collected a lifetime achievement award.
