The Ricoh Arena in Coventry could be staging more Davis Cup tennis after the success of Great Britain's victory over Russia at the weekend.
The matches which Britain came back to win 3-2 over three days were watched by 8,394 spectators and Gavin Fletcher, tournament director for the Davis Cup by BNP Paribas tie, said in a press statement:
“The city of Coventry and Ricoh Arena have been extremely welcoming to us and we are very thankful to them for all their hard work in helping us to promote the event as well as all the fans who came along and helped make it such a special occasion.
“The support and enthusiasm throughout made our job all the easier and we couldn’t be more happy with the result.
“We’ll definitely look to come back again in the future to hold tennis events.”
