All is not lost if you were unsuccessful in getting the tickets for the London 2012 Olympic games which will see mens and womens football matches taking place in Coventry.

The following advice has been issued:

All of the 1.8 million Olympic ticket applicants will be notified by June 24 of the success of their application. People will be told which events they have secured, but further details such as seating numbers or areas of seating will not be available for a further 12 months.

People who were unsuccessful in the ticket ballot will have the first opportunity in the second chance ballot. Locog (the London 2012 Organising Committee) will release unsold tickets on a website, with first come first served sale conditions, at the end of June or early July for at least a week for unsuccessful applicants only. Locog has not specified how long this website will be quarantined.

After that period of time, people who had been in the ballot and secured some, but not all ticket requests, will be able to access the website and purchase unsold tickets.

People who had not applied for any tickets in the ballot will be able to buy remaining unsold tickets when a new batch goes on sale at the end of November or early December.
